Mission Shakti Awareness Campaign Reaches 2 Lakh Puja Pandals, UP Govt Organizes Programs Across UP

During the fourth phase, which extended from October 15 to October 24, law enforcement officials and various departments conducted outreach activities at 2,41,232 locations, including puja pandals, Ramlila events, and fairs. They also organized programs in 1,14,810 gram panchayats and 36,480 wards, involving the active participation of 39,64,889 women and 37,76,789 men.

In their outreach, they distributed 26,47,072 informational materials related to the government's initiatives. Schools and colleges were vital platforms for educating children about recognizing good and bad touch, with 47,894 institutions receiving this important information. The campaign featured 15,914 cultural programs, 24,317 short films, 51,713 audio clips, and 11,111 street plays. Awareness campaigns extended to 62,263 railway and bus stations, along with other public locations.

The dedicated women-beat personnel played a crucial role in reaching out to 25,281 victims of crimes against women, ensuring their well-being and providing essential support. In the same period, 32,015 family members of the victims received counseling, and 22,997 victims received the necessary assistance. These personnel also identified 65,872 individuals with a history of criminal activities and executed 27,393 court orders. Furthermore, they received 23,785 complaint letters, addressing 23,302 of them promptly.

A special campaign extended into rural areas and slums, featuring 10,357 awareness programs focused on issues like child marriage and the eradication of child labor. These programs engaged 4,03,901 people, screening 4,320 short films and staging 2,763 street plays with the active participation of 2,098 members of non-governmental organizations.

The extensive efforts of the Mission Shakti campaign underscore the government's commitment to advancing the cause of women's empowerment and safety, demonstrating that concerted action and comprehensive outreach can make a significant impact in addressing critical issues.
