Honor has officially unveiled its anticipated Robot Phone in China, introducing a flagship smartphone with an innovative built-in gimbal camera. Initially revealed during the launch of the Magic8 series, the product is now equipped with a futuristic structure, superior camera technology and artificial intelligence-based features. The Honor Robot Phone is powered by a 200MP gimbal camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 120W fast charging and a 7060mAh battery, thus rendering it one of the most unusual smart flagship phones on the market.
Honor Robot Phone Key Specifications
- 4D Gimbal Camera: the new phone is designed with a unique integrated gimbal system featuring a first-of-its-kind compact construction. According to Honor, the new titanium gimbal is 65% smaller than other available gimbal systems.
- At 200MP Resolution: the gimbal camera features a 1/1.28-inch sensor which allows the camera to have a 200MP resolution with an aperture of f/1.6. In addition, the device enjoys the ability to shoot in 4K.
- AI Tracking of Better Objects: the camera is able to automatically track subjects and auto-frame in real-time.
- Voice-controlled Gimbal: users can control the gimbal by their voices.
- AI Robot Companion: The Honor Yoyo AI Assistant gimbal is able to interact with the environment while operating. The device can produce over 100 different expressions, including nodding, dancing and peeking.
- ARRI Partnership: Honor has collaborated with the German cinema company ARRI to bring to life the Robot Phone. This phone supports Log-C3 video encoding, LUT in-device color grading as well as ARRI-inspired cinema mode.
- 200-MP Periscope Telephoto: In addition to the gimbal camera, the phone has a 200-MP telephoto periscope camera featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor and a 2.7x optical zoom.
- 50-MP Ultrawide Camera: The ultrawide camera can also serve as a macro camera, enhancing the versatility of the photographic apparatus.
- 6.3-inch LTPO OLED Display: The phone has a 6.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,640 × 1,216 pixels and a variable frequency from 1 Hz to 120 Hz.
- 6,800 nits of brightness: The display can have a maximum illumination intensity equal to 6,800 nits.
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5: The phone has Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which provides the speed and efficiency of the device.
- Android 16: This device operates on the MagicOS 10 system that works on the Android 16 OS.
- Battery of 7,060mAh: The Robot Phone comes with a massive battery of 7,060mAh and has the support of 120W for wired charging and 50W for wireless charging.
- The gimbal is available in two color options of Silver and Gray.
