Janhvi Kapoor as the lead actress in the film plays a character dressed in a traditional rural attire, with the scenery around them attempting to replicate the extreme intensity of emotional and dramatic/physical conflict created in both "Pushpa" and "KGF." The trailer fails to present a clearly developed plot, but rather serves more as an exciting promotional tool through a strong use of different styles (i.e. slow-motion images) and dramatic "hero moment" shots.

Positive Points

The very first impression the trailer gave me is how substantial the trailer appears primarily based on Ram Charan’s performance and execution. The rugged appearance from his latest transformation reflects a well prepared actor with tremendous confidence. He has no issues carrying off his character with all its emotion, the screenplay and action sequences provide a saving grace of the film finally making its way to the cinema theatre this summer. There is a decent amount of action and sporting sequences within the film and, from the snippets seen so far, the visual elements do justice to the location and manner in which both portions of the film were filmed. Cinematography represents what rustic locations look like and can also help layer depth and personality onto a film through visual aesthetics of colour, lighting, etc.

Negative Points

The largest concern of the trailer is that it appears that a majority of the scenes have been shot with too much noise and that many of them don't show originality or uniqueness since they seem to have been inspired by previous films. In addition, the dialogue and dubbed accents appear awkward at different portions of the trailer. Janhvi Kapoor's character in the trailer gives the obvious impression of being a stereotypical girl character. The score which is the musical score used during the play of a film by AR Rahman appears as if it is out of place with, and does not provide any connection between the music and emotion, of the different scenes.

Overall: The trailer for Peddi gives you a lot of mass entertainment, action and hero worship; however, it lacks originality and depth. Heavy anticipation surrounds Ram Charan's role as the leading man in the film and represents a large section of the audience's excitement. However, the trailer does demonstrate a significant amount of drama and confusion through its presentation. 

While there are many fans who certainly want to see a well-developed story and a broader application of the information shown in the trailer, those fans will have to remain patient until the actual movie is viewed.
