CM Yogi Adityanath: Yoga Promotes Global Well-Being And Peace Effectively
Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke on the occasion of the 9th International Yoga Day, highlighting the significance of Yoga in achieving global peace, promoting human welfare, and maintaining physical and mental health. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts in establishing the importance of Yoga on a global platform. CM Yogi stated that Yoga is a valuable gift from India's sage tradition to the world, and it has gained immense popularity with practitioners from around 200 countries participating in various Yoga programs. He emphasized that India's practical and proven legacy, including the ancient sage tradition and knowledge, makes it a world 'guru.'

CM Yogi also praised India's AYUSH system, stating that it has been highly sought after globally during the COVID-19 pandemic, as people recognized it as a source of complete health. He highlighted the increasing demand for Ayurvedic remedies and the opportunities it presents for Indian farmers. Furthermore, he mentioned that Yoga, particularly practices like Pranayama, had minimal effects on individuals during the second wave of the pandemic, even for those who contracted the virus.
