Kushi Movie Review: Vijay Deverakonda And Samantha's Film Enjoys A Solid Opening
The film introduces us to Viplav (Vijay Deverakonda), an idealistic BSNL employee with dreams of living out a Mani Ratnam-esque fantasy in Kashmir. His desire for snow-capped mountains, beautiful locales, and AR Rahman's music leads him to this picturesque destination. Here, he crosses paths with Aradhya (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), a charming young woman who becomes the object of his affection. Their love story initially follows a familiar trajectory: Viplav pursues Aradhya relentlessly, and eventually, love blooms.
However, the real challenge arises when their starkly different backgrounds come into play. Viplav is the son of renowned atheist Lenin Sathyam (Sachin Khedekar), while Aradhya hails from a conservative family led by Chadarangam Srinivasa Rao (Murli Sharma), who happens to be Lenin's arch-nemesis. Despite their differences and the obstacles posed by their families, the couple believes in the power of their love to overcome all odds. Yet, they are about to face a heartbreak that neither of them is prepared for.
