Netflix has revealed the trailer of the movie Best of the Best, a college dance comedy, showcasing the hard-hitting competition between the dancers in the movie over the top of chit-chat, jokes, and camaraderie. The lead in the film is made by actor Maitreyi Ramakrishnan of The Boys fame whose character is in the movie along with her friend.
The lead characters in this comedy by Netflix are played by Ramakrishnan as Maya and Priyanka Kedia as Anjali. The characters join hands in their college at UCLA where both decide to join a dance team of their university. What they thought to be an amusing extracurricular activity turns to be an intense rivalry with their counterparts on the way to win the championship title.
The opening of the film teaser shows Maya and Anjali getting settled in their school campus, then Maya informs Anjali that she has become part of the dance team at school and suggests that Anjali should also participate in their upcoming competition. Things take a turn for the awkward when their professor, played by comedian Hasan Minhaj, interrupts them. In the orientation lecture, the two realize that he has caught them in the act just minutes into the lecture. Anjali tries to apologize for talking but has trouble deciding whether to call him Sir, Professor, or Man.
