India’s First Constitution Museum Inaugurated At O.P. Jindal Global University

O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), Sonipat, is proud to announce the opening of India's first Constitution Museum and the National Convention on the Constitution of India on Saturday, 23rd November 2024. The event will be attended by distinguished guests, that include Shri Om Birla (Hon'ble Speaker of Lok Sabha), Shri Nayab Singh Saini Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal Hon'ble Minister of State for Law and Justice, and Shri Naveen Jindal Hon'ble Chancellor of JGU.

Chancellor Naveen Jindal stated, “The Constitution Museum is dedicated to inspiring India’s youth to embrace the Constitution as a guiding force for the country’s future. This first-of-its-kind initiative highlights India’s democratic principles and their pivotal role in ensuring equality, growth, and independence.”

It pays homage to the 75th year of the adoption of the Constitution in 1949, through the integration of cutting-edge technology, AI-driven interactive exhibits, and 3D installations. Sections include the historical debates, evolution, and significance of the Constitution, developed in collaboration with IIT Madras.

Key art installations espouse constitutional values such as justice, liberty, and equality. Such highlights include We, The People of India by Rajesh P. Subramanian, showcasing unity in diversity and Insaaf Ki Devi by Nishant Kumbhatil, symbolizing justice.

Vice Chancellor Dr. C. Raj Kumar called for rendering homage to the makers of the Constitution, especially Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Academy further consists of interviews with experts, an alive archive on fundamental rights, and a Children's Corner for experiential learning.
