Ramotsav 2024: Yogi Govt Fortifies Ayodhya Security With ATS, STF, & Extensive Tech Surveillance

In addition to the ground forces, a National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) contingent is stationed along the Sarayu River and ghats. Ayodhya is implementing bar coding to enhance guest security, emphasizing meticulous planning for the historic event.

Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's directive, a substantial police force has been mobilized in Ayodhya, categorized into red and yellow security zones. Central agencies like CRPF and NDRF are actively contributing to the security landscape, with intelligence agencies like the Intelligence Bureau and RAW lending support.

The security team comprises over 100 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), approximately 325 inspectors, and 800 sub-inspectors. Leading up to the main event, a contingent of 11,000 personnel from police and paramilitary forces will be deployed. VIP security is meticulously managed, involving three DIGs, 17 SPs, 40 ASPs, 82 DSPs, 90 inspectors, over a thousand constables, and four companies of the PAC.

To ensure seamless coordination and prevent lapses, emphasis is placed on effective collaboration among all agencies involved in security operations. Special measures are in place for rail security, and additional security personnel have been assigned to the Government Railway Police (GRP). Forces deployed in Ayodhya are undergoing behavioral training to facilitate positive interactions with devotees and guests.

The integration of technology plays a pivotal role in Ayodhya's security infrastructure. The entire city is monitored through the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) of the Municipal Corporation, with 1500 public CCTV cameras integrated into ITMS. Facial recognition AI-based big screens are deployed in the yellow zone at 10,715 locations.

Furthermore, Ayodhya boasts 12 anti-drone systems, employing Israeli-manufactured technology to monitor activities on land, water, and in the air within a 5-kilometer radius. This advanced anti-drone system not only locates drones but can also deactivate them, enhancing overall security measures.

To ensure the convenience and security of VIPs during the event, bar coding is being implemented. Additionally, 250 police guides have been appointed, and a digital tourist app is set to launch on January 14 to provide information about tourist spots, contributing to a well-rounded and robust security plan for the historic ceremony.
