With estimations suggesting over 41 crore attendees, various new initiatives are underway to accommodate the pilgrims. The Tourism Department and Fair Authority are collaborating to ensure comfortable lodging arrangements both within the Kumbh Mela area and in nearby urban regions.
In a significant move, the administration has approved the construction of temporary circuit houses and guest houses within the Mahakumbh Mela area. Maha Kumbh Mela Officer, Vijay Kiran Anand, has confirmed the commencement of the tender process for this development. A temporary circuit house boasting 55 suites will be established to accommodate VVIPs and state guests, mirroring the Chandra Shekhar Azad Circuit House model. The government has allocated Rs 17 crore for this endeavor.
