What's So Special About The Ghagra

Vidya wore a Gulrez choli which featured intricate hand embroidery using metallic threads and glass beads. This vibrant piece took a total of 100 days to create. This stunning choli was paired with a beautiful ghagra. Vidya wore the Indira Assi black Ghagra, which was carefully crafted using silky cotton chanderi. Taking it a notch higher, Vidya chose two dupattas for the draping style. The first was a silk organza chunari embellished with metallic coin work, while the second was a silver dupatta made of silky silk tissue using recycled cotton himroo pallu and edged with gota. What makes this outfit even more interesting is that the fabrics used for this outfit were dyed using marigold petals offered at the Siddhivinayak temple.

Vidya Balan accessorised her look with antique statement earrings and matching maangtika, while heavy Indian bangles and bracelets adorned her wrists. Potli bag in hand.
