No Damage As Earthquake Tremors Shake Northern Nepal; Epicenter In Rasuwa District
In response to seismic activity, authorities and disaster management agencies are maintaining vigilance, monitoring the situation to ensure public safety.
On Sunday, parts of Northern Nepal experienced an earthquake measuring 4 in magnitude, centered at Juredunga in Rasuwa district, about 130 km from Kathmandu. The tremor occurred at 9:44 am local time.
Fortunately, there were no reports of damage or casualties resulting from the seismic activity. This event follows another earthquake last week, registering a magnitude of 4.3, which struck Western Nepal.
The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre confirmed that the quake was felt in Kathmandu as well. Despite the noticeable tremors, there have been no indications of significant harm thus far.
