Former minister and Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya, after resigning from the position of the party's national general secretary, has spoken out. He stated that some insignificant leaders, who cannot garner a single vote for the Samajwadi Party, criticize him incessantly every day. Maurya emphasized that he had verbally informed the party's national president, Akhilesh Yadav, about his concerns. However, he tendered his resignation amid objections raised the next day. Maurya clarified that while some old members of the party support him, those who hold no sway over the party oppose him. He conveyed to Akhilesh Yadav that if he cannot control these elements, he should assign Maurya some responsibility.
