SS Innovations Partners With SMSIMSR To Deliver Robotic Surgery And Training To Underserved Communities Across India
Under the terms of the agreement, the SSI Mantra Surgical Robotic System—India's first robotically developed surgery platform—is being donated and installed to create a state-of-the-art Robotic Cardiac Surgery and Training Center in SMSIMSR.

As a milestone step to further improve the equal access to medical treatment, SS Innovations International Inc., Founder, Chairman, and CEO Dr. Sudhir Prem Srivastava entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR), Karnataka. Under the terms of the agreement, the SSI Mantra Surgical Robotic System—India's first robotically developed surgery platform—is being donated and installed to create a state-of-the-art Robotic Cardiac Surgery and Training Center in SMSIMSR.
The MoU signing ceremony, which took place at SS Innovations headquarters in Gurugram, was graced by spiritual leader and philanthropist, Shri Sadguru Madhusudan Sai. The tie-up is a giant leap towards establishing South India's finest robotic surgery centre for adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, urology, thoracic, general, gynecologic, and head and neck surgeries.
Part of the arrangement is that Dr. Srivastava allows for the performance of the first 100 robotic-assisted operations at SMSIMSR, paying for five years' worth of maintenance on the SSI Mantra system, and running state-of-the-art training programs for surgical staff. The venture is a beacon of how advanced technology can be married with philanthropy in a bid to deliver world-class surgical skill to needy people and rural areas.
Dr. Srivastava said, "This partnership is a coming together of innovation and compassion. By democratizing sophisticated surgical care, we are not just revolutionizing healthcare technology—we are revolutionizing lives."
