IPL 2024 is underway, and the race for the Orange Cap is on as well. Currently, Virat Kohli sits at the top spot with 181 runs, followed by Heinrich Klaasen and Riyan Parag after the match between RCB and KKR on 30th March, in which Kohli scored a splendid 83 off of 59 balls with 4 boundaries and 4 huge sixes.

Although the knock was not enough to hand precious 2 points to his team, it did take him to the top of the run-scoring chart. Kohli won this cap back in 2016, and he will be looking to repeat that incredible feat this season as well. The Orange Cap is given to the highest run-scorer, and many elite batsmen showcase their batting prowess to win this prestigious award.

Kohli is being followed by Heinrich Klaasen, who has scored 143 runs in just 2 innings, with Riyan Parag of Rajasthan Royals sitting at the no. 3 spot with 127 runs. Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma complete the top 5 with 97 and 95 runs respectively.

Tilak Verma of Mumbai Indians is at No. 6 with 89 runs in two matches, boasting a strike rate of 167 and an average of 44. Dinesh Karthik rose to No. 7 with 86 runs, pushing Sam Curran to the 8th spot, who is also on 86 runs. Maintained at No. 9 is CSK's Shivam Dube, who has scored 85 runs in 2 matches, and KKR's Phil Salt completes the top 10 after yesterday's match, which took him to 84 runs.

It'll be interesting to see whether Kohli will continue his domination or if someone else will beat him to the Orange Cap in this exciting IPL tournament.
