Neeraj Nayyar Offers Financial Aid To Farmers Affected By Disaster-Related Field And Crop Damage
Chamba: Sadar MLA Neeraj Nayyar has highlighted the significant agricultural challenges faced by farmers in the region this year due to heavy rains. He reported that soil erosion caused by rainfall and riverbank overflow has resulted in substantial losses for farmers, impacting both their fields and crops. To address this issue and alleviate the farmers' losses, the state government has initiated a program to provide financial aid through the Agriculture Department.
To access this assistance, farmers must first obtain an application form from the Soil Conservation Office within the Agriculture Department. Along with the application form, they are required to submit a report provided by the local Patwari. This report will specify the extent of the damage in terms of the area affected by soil erosion due to this year's rainy season and the individual farmer's share of the loss. The aid provided to farmers will be based on the extent of their land affected by erosion.
