NDMC Area Faces 40% Reduction In Water Supply From DJB To Tilak Marg & Bengali Market Reservoirs
NDMC has appealed to save water and use water sparingly as water is essential for life but the corporation has limited water.
Water supply by the Delhi Jal Board (DJP) to the underground reservoir (UGR) at Tilak Marg and Bengali market in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area has been reduced by about 40%.
Due to the non-availability of raw water and the production of drinking water from Wazirabad water station is not at full capacity, water supply has been blocked in Tilak Marg UGR and Bengali Market UGR command areas, DJP said. It is given once a day, usually in the morning.
Water supply is disrupted in Delhi Jal Board, Bengali Market, Ashok Road, Harishand Mathur Lane, Copernicus Marg, Purana Gila Road, Babar Road, Barakamba, KG Marg, Windsor Place, Feroz Shah Marg, Canning Lane, and surrounding areas.
