Kashmir: 9 Killed, 33 Injured In Terrorist Ambush On Pilgrim Bus In Reasi

Talking further, Mohita Sharma stated, "It’s a clear case of a terror attack. The area has been sanitized and a search operation has been launched. The rescue operation was completed at the earliest and the injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals. The identities of dead and injured have not been ascertained yet but they probably belonged to Uttar Pradesh."

Police also issued a statement in which it was written that "The driver was hit and lost control, resulting in the bus sliding into the nearby gorge. With the help of local villagers, police evacuated all the passengers by 8.10 pm. SP Reasi supervised the evacuation. The injured have been shifted to different hospitals-- District headquarter hospital Reasi (13), CHC Treyath (5), and GMC in Jammu (15).”

The L-G of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha visited the injured victims of the attack in the hospitals and promised the whole nation that he would bring the perpetrators of the Reasi terror attack to justice. He accepted that the lives that were lost would be irreplaceable but still announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 10 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 5 lakh for the injured.

He also highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are keeping a close eye on the situation and a joint operation is also underway to capture the criminals who have the blood of 9 innocent people on their hands.
