Haryana's Work Education Instructors On Fast Unto Death For Their Demands

These instructors face additional work burdens during various events and programs like Independence Day, Republic Day, Kala Utsav, Talent Search, Gita Jayanti, BLO, Election Duty, Rang Manch, Bal Utsav, State/National level camps, Cultural programs, and State-level NSS events, among others. Even during the Covid pandemic, they were assigned extra duties without any allowance.

The Sangharsh Samiti, led by Rajat Bhatt, has repeatedly approached the concerned officials, but their demands have been neglected, leading to growing discontent among the employees. In response to the continued mistreatment by the department, four Work Education Instructors have taken a drastic step by sitting on a fast until death. Among them are Sandeep Kumar from Jind, Deep Kumar from Panipat, Sangeeta Devi from Hisar, and Jaswinder Singh from Yamunanagar.

The instructors' protest highlights the need for fair treatment and recognition of their contributions to the education system. Their demands for the implementation of By-Laws 2013 and Grade Pay deserve urgent attention to address their grievances and ensure their welfare.
