WhatsApp Enables iOS And Android Beta Users To Send High-Definition (HD) Photos, Enhancing The Media-Sharing Experience
WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform owned by Meta, is introducing a new feature that allows users to send high-definition (HD) photos. Initially available to beta testers on Android and iOS, this feature provides users with the option to choose a better quality when sending photos. However, the HD option only appears when users select a large-sized picture, as reported by WABetaInfo.
While the feature preserves the image dimensions, there will still be minor compression applied to the photo. As a result, sending photos in their original quality is not possible. The default option for all pictures remains "Standard quality," so users will need to manually select the HD option each time they want to send a photo with better quality.
