Vivo V29 and Vivo V29 Pro Review: Specifications, Price, Features & More

On October 4th, 2023, Vivo introduced its latest additions to the V-series lineup in India, the Vivo V29 Pro and Vivo V29. These smartphones boast impressive features, including a spacious 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, catering to the demands of users seeking an immersive visual experience.
The Vivo V29 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, while the Vivo V29 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. Both devices run on the Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13, ensuring a modern and user-friendly interface.
One of the standout features of these smartphones is their triple rear camera setup. They both feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) for stunning photos and stable video recording. Complementing this is a 12-megapixel portrait camera and an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor. These cameras offer a variety of modes and features, including slow motion, micro move, supermoon, dual view, live photo, panorama, and time-lapse photography. On the front, there's a high-resolution 50-megapixel selfie shooter with autofocus, promising excellent quality for your selfies and video calls.
In terms of color options, the Vivo V29 Pro is available in Himalayan Blue and Space Black, while the Vivo V29 offers a wider selection with Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red, and Space Black variants.
Moving on to the specifications, both models offer dual SIM (nano) support, a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Additionally, they feature up to 12GB of RAM, and thanks to the Extended RAM feature, this can be "extended" up to 20GB with additional unused storage. Storage-wise, the Vivo V29 Pro comes with 256GB of inbuilt storage.

Connectivity options are robust, including 5G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, Beidu, GLONASS, Galileo, Navic, and a USB Type-C port. These devices also come equipped with various sensors, such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. For secure and convenient authentication, an in-display fingerprint sensor is included.
Both the Vivo V29 Pro and Vivo V29 are currently available for pre-booking in India through Flipkart, Vivo's online store, and offline retail partners. The Vivo V29 Pro is set to begin deliveries on October 10, with the standard model following suit on October 17.
