Positive Points

The quality of the trailer is the ambition. The visual scale is impressive, with lavish sets and a heavy VFX work which is creating an atmospheric backdrop. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s screen presence brings weight to the antagonist’s role of betaal. Fans of the Maddock Universe may also find excitement in the hints of cameo appearances by characters from Stree and Bhediya.

Negative Points

Despite the scale, the trailer suffers from being overstuffed. The effort to balance romance, comedy, myth, and horror makes the trailer look fragmented. The spark between Ayushmann and Rashmika looks disappointing and is short of the romance that is the cornerstone of a love story. A few of the VFX shots are crude, making the trailer look made-up. Also, the comedy segments don't hit the mark, the scintilla of wit and freshness that Maddock movies are known for missing. Of most concern, the trailer fails to create a coherent storyline, leaving it difficult for the audience to become emotionally invested. 

Overall: Thamma trailer falls flat as messy and overly ambitious. Without greater chemistry, tighter script, and more balanced narrative, this highly publicized movie can become a forgettable entry in an otherwise successful franchise.
