Sukhminder Pal Singh Grewal Under Fire For Allegedly Sidelining Senior Leaders Within The BJP Ranks
In a significant development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its list of Punjab leaders today, sparking controversy and criticism from senior party member Sukhminder Pal Singh Grewal. Grewal, a prominent BJP national leader, expressed his dismay at the composition of the list, stating that it overlooked and insulted the senior leaders of the Punjab region.
Grewal's main point of contention revolved around what he perceived as the disproportionate representation of outsiders within the list. According to him, a staggering 75 percent of the individuals featured in the list were not native to Punjab. This, in his view, amounted to a blatant act of oppression and injustice against the experienced and long-serving BJP leaders from the state.
In response to this contentious issue, Sukhminder Pal Singh Grewal took decisive action. He announced that a crucial meeting of BJP leaders would be convened on September 24th at 11:30 am, with the venue being the Punjab BJP office located in Sector 37-A, Chandigarh. Importantly, Grewal extended an open invitation to all BJP leaders from across Punjab, urging them to attend the meeting along with their colleagues.
