Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is actively promoting millets and raising awareness about their nutritional benefits as part of the International Year of Millets celebrations. A significant event called Shri Anna Mahotsav is scheduled to take place from October 27 to 29, organized by the Agriculture Department. This event is a unique initiative aimed at engaging the public and the food industry in exploring the potential of millets.
One of the key highlights of this celebration is the Shri Anna Food Competition, which will occur on Saturday. This competition serves as a platform to inform the public about millet products and encourage their incorporation into daily diets. Millets such as millet, buckwheat, ramdana, jowar, and kodo will feature prominently in the dishes presented during this competition.
