Resident Evil Trailer Review: Sony’s Dark Reboot Promises Fresh Horror And Intense Survival Thrills
The trailer for Resident Evil, Sony's new horror movie has been released and looks to be a new milestone for the long established franchise. The film is directed by Zach Cregger, who is known for building new tension and psychological horror in his projects, and has a very different style than previous Resident Evil films, which are generally thought to be more action-oriented films. This reboot is going to be more than just nostalgia and classic characters, but rather will feature a darker and more grounded survival horror experience. The original story and characters are included in the trailer, along with an extremely creepy atmosphere that has generated a great deal of excitement among fans of Resident Evil and horror films in general.
Storyline
The newest addition to Resident Evil does not feature any of the original cast members or have anyone playing the characters Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, or Alice. The new game will have its hero be an everyday delivery employee for a large online retailer delivering packages to a city that has been taken over by T-Virus infected zombies. The delivery man finds himself in Raccoon City surrounded by zombies and with no viable exit strategy, so he will have to use all of his skills to survive and figure out what happened to him. According to the trailer, the new Resident Evil will have an exciting storyline revolving around the elements of fear, isolation, and desperation, instead of the traditional Superhero style action associated with the series. This involves recreating the series in a more human and realistic form.
