The World Test Championship (WTC) final and the Cricket World Cup on Indian soil are both slated for 2023, a critical year for Indian cricket, while Rishabh Pant was seriously injured in a horrible car accident on December 30. Pant had knee surgery and spent a long time in the hospital recovering from his injuries. After missing India's current Test series against Australia, the best wicketkeeper will not play in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sourav Ganguly, Director of Cricket for the Delhi Capitals (DC), provided a crucial update on Pant's recovery and threw significant doubt on his participation in the 2023 ODI World Cup and even the 2024 T20 World Cup.
