Norton Manx R Unveiled: 203 bhp Superbike Could Launch In India by 2026

Powerful 1,200cc V4 Engine Delivers 203 bhp

The Manx R Superbike is powered by an enormous 1,200cc water-cooled V4 engine and creates the largest horsepower and torque available for domestic motorcycle purchases. It has maximum power output at 203 bhp @11,500 rpm and maximum torque output at 130 Nm or 9,000 rpm. Engineered into this package is a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission with an integrated quick-shift capability.

The engine of the new Norton motorcycle has been tuned to balance day-to-day convenience with performance on a track. Buyers who purchase a Norton Motorcycle in the United Kingdom will also receive a three-year warranty covering unlimited mileage.

Three Levels of Premium Features

The Base Model does not have any major features besides manually adjustable Marzocchi suspension, a pair of clamshell tires made from cast aluminum and composite bodywork. An upgraded version of this bike called the Apex adds semi-active electronic suspension for better comfort and handling.

Lastly, the Signature Trim adds premium options such as full carbon-fiber panels, super-light Rotobox carbon wheel rims, stainless steel exhaust and a single seat.

Advanced Technology and Lightweight Design

Other advanced technology installed on the UK-manufactured motorcycle includes an 8-inch TFT screen, traction control system with cornering ABS operation, smartphone connectivity and three different ride modes. Compared to many current models, the Norton design is much cleaner without oversized winglets.

With a weight of only 204 kg, this superbike has an unusually strong but lightweight metal (alloy) frame. Once it enters the marketplace in India, we anticipate the Norton to compete against other premium motorcycles such as the Ducati Panigale V4.
