Haryana's Work Education Instructors On Fast Unto Death For Their Demands
Chandigarh: Work Education Instructors employed under Haryana's Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan have resorted to a fast-unto-death protest near Shiksha Sadan, Panchkula, demanding the implementation of By-Laws 2013 and Grade Pay. Despite being part of Samagra Shiksha, these instructors are deprived of the benefits enjoyed by other directly recruited employees, including the recommended By-Laws 2013 and Grade Pay. Over the past nine years, while vocational teachers' salaries have been increased to Rs. 32,000, the Work Education Instructors received a meager raise of only Rs. 5,000 from their initial salary of Rs. 10,000 in 2014.
