Mr and Mrs Mahi Trailer Review: Rajkummar Rao And Janhvi Kapoor Are Chasing Their Collective Dream

The trailer starts with the characters of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor for the very first time ahead of their arranged marriage. Both characters share the same name and the same passion as well. Mr. and Mrs. Mahi are both very interested in cricket, but on the one hand, Rajkummar Rao wants to be a professional player, and Janvi Kapoor follows it less intensely as she is a doctor by profession. 

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, when Rajkummar Rao's character is unable to fulfill his dream of playing cricket for his country, he decides to train and coach Janvi Kapoor so she can become a professional player instead. Janvi Kapoor finds the idea not ideal at first, but Rajkummar Rao makes her realize that she only became a doctor because that's what her parents wanted, and she should follow her dreams and passion. In the trailer, we see her training very hard to turn professional, but something happens, and she starts questioning Rajkummar Rao's true intentions in coaching her and whether he is just using her to realize his self-worth.

There is a line in the trailer that reads,Live your dreams, not your parent's dreams," and it resonates with a lot of people online. Fans are loving the trailer so far and are expecting that the final product will be equally amazing. This film also serves as the second collaboration between Janvi Kapoor and director Sharan Sharma, as they previously worked together on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is produced by Karan Johar, ZEE Studios, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta. The film is set to hit theaters on May 31.
