Warner Bros. has officially released the long-awaited Mortal Kombat II trailer, the high-octane sequel to the 2021 reboot helmed again by Simon McQuoid. The movie will arrive in theaters on October 24, capitalizing on the classic video game property that started in the 1990s and has since become a cultural pillar in action storytelling and fighting games. STORYLINE
Mortal Kombat II follows on from the first film, with Earthrealm's warriors readying themselves for the inevitable war against the evil forces of Outworld. Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee), Jax (Mehcad Brooks), and Cole Young (Lewis Tan) team up again, this time accompanied by Hollywood martial artist Johnny Cage (Urban), to battle even more lethal enemies and stop Earth's destruction. New additions such as Jade (Tati Gabrielle) and the return of such evil villains as Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim) and Shang Tsung (Chin Han) raise the stakes to their highest point yet.
