Despite the deep wound on her forehead, medical examinations at the SSKM Hospital revealed no serious damage. Although she was dazed after the fall, Mamata Banerjee was able to communicate with the attending doctors.

Messages of support and well wishes poured in from various political figures including Vice-president Jagdeep Dhankhar, Congress leaders Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Shashi Tharoor, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and BJP leader Sukanto Mazumdar.

This is not the first time Mamata Banerjee has faced physical setbacks. Prior to the 2021 Assembly polls, she fractured her leg while campaigning in Nandigram, which eventually led to her loss in the constituency.

Currently, Mamata Banerjee is expected to recuperate at her Kalighat residence for the next few days. Once fully recovered, she will resume her responsibilities, including leading the Trinamul Congress's Lok Sabha poll campaign.

Despite these challenges, Mamata Banerjee remains a prominent figure in West Bengal politics, known for her resilience and determination in facing adversities. Her supporters are hopeful for her swift recovery, anticipating her return to active political engagements in the near future.
