The teaser takes the audience into a dark digital world where three parallel stories unfold, showing that love and betrayal have dire consequences at a time when everyone is obsessed with social media and instant gratification. One of these stories is about a transwoman who is trying to establish her identity by pursuing a career in acting. Other recurring themes include the superficial world of reality shows and youth's obsession with followers and views. The film, which stars Sophie Javed, Mouni Roy, Tusshar Kapoor, Anu Malik, Swarupa Ghosh, Swastika Mukherjee, Anupam Jodar and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, explores the complexities of relationships and identity in the high-tech age of online dating and virtual reality. Love Sex Aur Dhokha (LSD 2), the follow-up to Dibakar Banerjee's 2010 film on the risks of hidden cameras, explores love in the era of the Internet. The creators of LSD 2 have been captivating social media users with movie posters and other creatives for more than a month.

Dibakar released a caution on Monday ahead of the trailer's release, warning spectators of the disturbing and daring stuff to come. The director's video message emphasized the film's "dark and delicious" storyline. In the video, he stated, "It is impossible to manufacture LSD without revealing the truth. As a result, when we created LSD 2, we portrayed the same truth, a genuine depiction of life as we see around us. Today, however, it is popular to dismiss the truth rather than believe in it.
