The CEC revealed that the elections will cover 102 constituencies in the first phase, 89 in the second, 94 in the third, 96 in the fourth, 49 in the fifth, 57 in the sixth, and 57 in the seventh phase.

Simultaneously, Assembly elections for Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Odisha will take place. Andhra Pradesh has 25 Lok Sabha constituencies and 175 Assembly constituencies, while Odisha will elect 147 assembly members and Sikkim has a 32-member State assembly.

The dates for these Assembly elections vary. Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim will hold their elections on April 19, while Andhra Pradesh will do so on May 13. Odisha's assembly elections will be conducted in four phases on May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Additionally, by-polls are scheduled for 26 Assembly constituencies.

The Election Commission has urged the Union Home Ministry to ensure adequate security measures and law enforcement during this period.

With 10% of voters expected to be first-time voters, these 2024 Lok Sabha elections signify a crucial point in India’s electoral landscape.

Furthermore, the Election Commission has directed political parties to uphold decorum during campaigning, cautioning against appeals based on caste or communal politics or spreading false information. Strict action will be taken against any violations of the Model Code of Conduct, whether direct or indirect.
