Storyline
The second season begins after Arif’s (Munawar Faruqui) empire comes crashing down as he deals with betrayal, guilt, and ultimately a desire to reclaim his lost identity. The story is set in the chaotic early 2000s, when film piracy was at its height across the landscape of Mumbai, and embraces Arif’s redemption story amidst a greed and deceitful world. As a gesture of nostalgia, the makers recreate the period with books piled up with CDs, old computers, and underground dealings that are unclear. As Arif tries to recover his life, betrayal occurs, and there is emotional angst involving his romantic friends played by Ashi Singh and Krystle D’Souza. The struggle between ambition and morality propels the story forward, giving it a riveting and emotionally suspenseful theme.
