Welcome To The Jungle Trailer Review: Overcrowded Cast, Repetitive Humor And Predictable Chaos Dampen Excitement
Image Source: Welcome To The Jungle Trailer

The trailer of "Welcome to The Jungle" has just been released bringing back the glitz, Dumpster fires of creativity, insanity, and joy of the first two films in this franchise that continues to delight audiences worldwide. The "Welcome to The Jungle" movie will feature Ahmed Khan in the directing role again; Akshay Kumar has already signed on to reprise his role as the lead male character for the third time (and first time in any movie since being initially signed to do so. This is an action packed comedy entertaining film for families, plus you will also laugh from beginning to end.

Storyline

"Welcome to The Jungle" takes place solely in an actual "Jungle", vs. Cities, Towns as in the previous two movies. The trailer suggests a nonsensical storyline involving a fake film production that goes from being fun and exciting to quickly going terribly wrong. It appears that Akshay Kumar will be leading a bunch of dysfunctional actors, directors, producers, etc., who find themselves involved in a number of outrageous, comedically dangerous situations along the way. The group encounters numerous misunderstandings which lead to accidental murder, jungle chase scenes, huge bomb explosions, and other extreme action sequences. The overarching theme of the story seems to revolve around mistaken identity, humorous confusion, and nonsensical scenarios; all of which have become signature elements of the Welcome film series. Although the plot details are locked, the trailer does a great job building anticipation for this upcoming adventure.

Positive Points

The humour appears to be on point and has lots of laugh(s) within the trailer. The jungle setting adds an element of fresh air to the franchise and allows for a new visual spectacle to be captured amidst all of the chaos occurring. In addition, all of the action sequences appear to really fit in well with the comedic style of the film. You won't be bored watching this trailer because it moves at such a quick pace.

Negative Points

There are times where the large ensemble cast creates an overcrowded look for the trailer. A number of the jokes feel like they are over the top, and the repetitive nature of some of the jokes may not appeal to all viewers and may cause viewers who are used to advanced comedy to struggle to connect with the comedic moments; also, the storyline is fairly predictable and relies heavily on the use of slapstick in place of a well-structured narrative.

Overall: Welcome to the Jungle appears to be a good time that caters to the masses and is intended for commercial distribution; this is reflected in the many comedic moments, action, and star power found in the trailer. It would seem likely that if the film can balance the big cast and comedic moments appropriately, that it would be one of the highest grossing comedies of the year.
