Positive Points

Welcome to the Jungle include its strong cast. Akshay Kumar has again shown that he is an excellent comedian and has had some genuinely humorous moments with Johnny Lever. The film takes jabs at the "Bollywood" stereotype and the public's perception of the actors through clever satire and some successful self-referential humour in the movie, and the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon will be nostalgic for fans of both. Farida Jalal and Kiran Kumar appear in a couple of scenes that add an element of depth underneath the humour.

Negative Points

Welcome to the Jungle are that despite an interesting premise the story written quickly becomes repetitive and cluttered; jungle scenes look unrealistic due to excessive use of green screen technology; climactic battle scenes are not very compelling; the at-times-too-large cast of talented actors leave them not having enough screen time; humour often relies on loud performances instead of clever dialogue; the film is very long (164 minutes) and uses plenty of scenes that seem like they were made for short-lived Internet clips rather than to move the story along.

Overall: There are good comedic moments to look forward to in Welcome to the Jungle but due to poor storytelling, a long length, and chaotic execution do not come close to matching the earlier movies.
