Awarapan 2 is finally here! After 20 years, Awarapan's character Shivam played by Emraan Hashmi returns but this time with a completely different plot. It is said that the movie involves more of thrill, edginess, and fun than the first part. The sequel will be released on August 14, 2026 but the trailer is of length of only 1:25 yet it still manages to excite the fans as a lot of mystery around the plot has been maintained. Unlike many recent trailers that divulge important information, the trailer of Awarapan 2 has retained its trump cards. The underlying tone of the trailer establishes a sense of ambience, action, and emotions in the viewers' mind.
Storyline
Based on the indications given, Shivam seems to have to face his past tribulations, but stronger than before. There are no words involved in the trailer, only the visuals convey the message. The premise indicates that Shivam goes through another serious crisis, although it doesn’t reveal the particulars. Nevertheless, it looks like revenge, sacrifice, and redemption remain the key ideas in the new movie, just like before. Other artists, like Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Atul Kumar, Aniruddh Rawal, and Puran Gabbi are shown in brief shots in the trailer. The limited role of these characters generates sufficient gratuitous suspense. From a visual perspective, this trailer depicts a violent and action-oriented universe where the audience witnesses battles and dramatic moments. Director Nitin Kakkar demonstrates his ability to harmoniously combine dramatic components with action.
Positive Points
One of the best things about the entire trailer has to be Emraan Hashmi's performance. He easily slips back into the character of Shivam and maintains the same level of intensity in the character as what made his character popular in the first film. His face speaks a thousand words, full of emotions and displaying the feeling of grief, anger, and determination. The action sequences seem very polished and stylish and there is no excessiveness in their execution. The film does show blasts, chase scenes, and close combat fights in a very cinematic manner which hints at the good theatrical experience this film offers. Other great aspect of the trailer is good cinematography by Vishnu Rao. Dark colors, urban locations, and thought-out shots create moody atmosphere that fits in the franchise. Each frame is eye-catching and contributes to the serious tone of the movie. The trailer should also be praised for maintaining the suspense. It does not reveal the whole story but shares piece of information in order to create excitement.
