Brahmin Khap Haryana Presses For Brahmin Chief Minister In Chandigarh, Asserting Political Power-Sharing Demands

Referring to Bhupendra Singh Hooda's statement supporting the Brahmin community, Sharma clarified that individual decisions to join the party were not reflective of the entire community's stance. He advocated for the formation of a Brahmin Regiment and urged prompt inclusion of candidates selected under EPBG (Economically Backward General) into the regiment. Sharma emphasized that the Brahmins would rally behind candidates upholding Sanatani tenets and displaying patriotism.

Delving into the matter of EWS (Economically Weaker Sections), Sharma proposed its division into Group A and Group B, with the Brahmin community assigned to Group A. He suggested that instead of announcing the deputy chief minister's position for Brahmins, former CM Bhupendra Hooda should declare that the Chief Minister's post would be reserved for the Brahmin community within the Congress.

Sushil Gautam Sirsi, spokesperson for Brahmin Khap Haryana, along with Prayag Raj Sarpanch and Brahmin Sabha Patron from Pundri, and Roshan Lal Sharma, Bastara General Secretary of the district Brahmin Sabha Karnal, joined Sharma during the press conference.

Expressing skepticism toward Bhupender Hooda's assurances, Sharma pointed to internal contradictions within Hooda's party. He cautioned against attempts to mislead the Brahmin community, asserting that this time, Brahmins would remain united and impervious to manipulation. In conclusion, Sharma called upon all political parties to declare their commitment to providing adequate representation for Brahmins in the political landscape.
