Babri Mosque Demolition, Ayodhya Undergoes Rapid Infra Development, Marking 31 Years Of Transformative Changes
Ayodhya's infrastructure surged post-BJP's 2017 governance, accelerating further after the 2019 SC verdict. Ongoing projects enhance connectivity, bolster hospitality, and offer employment opportunities, contributing to the city's development.
The historic town of Ayodhya has undergone significant transformation over the past 31 years, leading up to the imminent grand opening of the Ram temple. The noteworthy changes in Ayodhya's infrastructure began in 2017, following the BJP's ascent to power and Yogi Adityanath assuming the role of Chief Minister.
In May 2017, shortly after coming into power, the BJP government amalgamated the municipal boards of Faizabad and Ayodhya, establishing the Ayodhya Nagar Nigam as a new municipal corporation. This move resulted in increased funding for infrastructure development from both the state and the central government. Ayodhya, initially part of Faizabad district, saw its name changed in November 2018 when the Adityanath government rebranded both the district and division to Ayodhya.
