The program will comprise panel sessions, lectures, and creative workshops that address the shared values of the BRICS countries. The agenda includes series of panels, keynote addresses and interactive workshops about common traditions and cultures of BRICS nations.

A key topic of GIF II will be different knowledge systems which developed around the world. Everything from Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, Kalaripayattu, Kung-Fu and Tai Chi, traditional dances, Capoeira, cinema, music and indigenous people’s traditions will be discussed and presented. Moreover, the forum will address the role of cultural persona and writers, like Rabindranath Tagore and Leo Tolstoy, and will demonstrate the impact of art, literature, knowledge and cultural practices on contemporary society.

Maria Kudriashova, Second Secretary at the Russian Embassy in India, noted excellent relations between India and Russia which have developed based on friendship and mutual respect, mutual interest in the culture and national priorities. According to her, relations between India and Russia have progressed to become a special and privileged strategic partnership in trade, investments, energy, science and technology, education, culture and inter-personal ties.
