Agra Metro Train High-Speed Trial Flagged Off By CM Yogi, Services Will Start From Feb 2024
Taj East Gate to Mankameshwar Temple, spanning 6 kilometers, will be completed six months ahead of schedule, by February 2024.
Agra: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the high-speed trial run of the Agra Metro at Taj East Gate Metro Station. The project, part of several new development initiatives for Agra under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, had its foundation stone laid in 2020. Notably, the priority corridor from Taj East Gate to Mankameshwar Temple, spanning 6 kilometers, will be completed six months ahead of schedule, by February 2024.

During the trial run, the Agra Metro train will operate at speeds between 60 to 80 kilometers per hour, facilitating the early completion of the priority corridor. CM Yogi expressed pride in the progress of the metro project, aiming to provide excellent public transportation facilities to residents and tourists alike.
