OpenAI Launches GPT-4o: Providing Free Access To ChatGPT Users
OpenAI outlined its rollout plan for GPT-4o's features, starting with an expanded testing phase to ensure seamless integration.
OpenAI is back with the launch of GPT-4o. It serves as the upgraded version of the GPT-4 model that is used in ChatGPT. This new and improved version is much faster when compared to the old one and even provides better quality across text, vision, and audio. The CTO of Open AI Mira Murati said that it will be free for all the users and paid users will have up to five times the capacity limits during the live stream announcement of GPT-4o.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted on X(previously known as Twitter) that the model of GPT-4o is “natively multimodal," meaning that it can understand voice commands, text inputs, or even images and can generate content accordingly. Developers can access GPT-4o's API, which is faster and cheaper compared to GPT-4-turbo. This access can lead to innovation in sectors such as natural language processing and audio analysis.
