The trailer for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is out and the film will be released on December 12, 2025. Following a successful first venture, Kapil Sharma returns to the big screen. Kapil will be joined by Manjot Singh, Parul Gulati and Ayesha Khan in this sequel. The sequel also features the late Asrani, who was a highly respected and beloved actor. Longtime fans of the original film will get to see Asrani in one of his last performances.

STORYLINE

The sequel promises to provide an even bigger and more hilarious experience than the first film due to the fact that, now, Sharma's character will not only have to hide the truth from three wives, but he will also have to deal with the pressures of maintaining four marriages. While the ending of the first film showed the protagonist living in a "polyamorous" setup with all of his wives living together, the plot shifts dramatically for the sequel. In the new trailer, it becomes apparent that Sharma's character is once again hiding the truth from each of the wives and is constantly running from crisis to crisis. This comedic element is created through many situations arising where there are mad dash moments, mistaken identities and fear of being discovered by all of the wives.

POSITIVE POINTS

The film embraces Kapil Sharma's slapstick comedic ability and has the strongest point of it, along with Kapil Sharma's chemistry with Manjot Singh, bringing it to another level. The introduction of Parul Gulati and Ayesha Khan creates an updated woman in the film, giving the film a 21st Century feel. The addition of Asrani is a nostalgic addition and gives an emotional impact. The trailer displays a very lively, energetic aesthetic with bright colourful sets, tropical-type music and a free-spirited whimsical tone throughout the trailer. The sequel is expected to be so outlandish and fun by many fans of the absurd style of humour contained within the original film.

NEGATIVE POINTS

The film continues to confuse infidelities with polygamy, which, by definition, by having multiple partners in a marriage with the consent of those partners, is not so. The trailer, in fact, has no reference to consent. The entire story line of the film appears to glorify the fact that polygamy is allowed and that it is OK to lie to your partner if you are trying to be funny. If the story line were about a woman hiding multiple marriages from her husband, the audience's response would have been far more judgemental than would have been towards a man in that position. The overall joke is predicated on a complete lack of truth and dignity by hiding from the women how they feel about themselves, therefore making a mockery of their feelings for the sake of humour.

Overall: The movie has a sense of familiarity due to its premise; however, the film also contains the traditional comical antics to be expected in Bollywood. Audiences will need to wait to determine if this movie can be enjoyed for enjoyment and not for validity.
