Kejriwal Government Fails In Power, Water, Education, Health, Price Rise, Unemployment & Water-Logging: Devender Yadav
Shri Yadav said that both Aam Aadmi Party and BJP are protesting and wrestling against each other instead of finding a solution to the problems of the people.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Devendra Yadav has expressed strong opposition to the increase in electricity rates. He said that the loot being done in the name of PPAC (Power Purchase Adjustment Cost) is directly affecting 1.5 crore people of Delhi. Shri Yadav demanded an audit of the benefits being made by power companies under the guise of PPAC on electricity bills from the Kejriwal government, so that corruption can be exposed.
Shri Yadav said that both Aam Aadmi Party and BJP are protesting and wrestling against each other instead of finding a solution to the problems of the people. He demanded that the 8.75% increase in PPAC rates should be withdrawn with immediate effect.
Shri Yadav said that the Kejriwal government is increasing electricity bills through PPAC instead of directly increasing them. In 2015, PPAC was 1.7%, which has now increased to 37%. After the new increase, 46% PPAC will be recovered from the consumers. This is putting a huge financial burden on the public. He said that the Kejriwal government has completely failed on issues like water, electricity, waterlogging, education, health, inflation, unemployment, and pollution.

Mr Yadav reminded that when Congress had privatised electricity, Kejriwal had called it corruption. But in the last 10 years, the Kejriwal government changed the rules of privatisation and recovered all payments from the public through PPAC. He alleged that the pension of retired employees is also being recovered from electricity consumers.
He questioned why the CAG report under the BJP government is not allowing the corruption and irregularities of power companies to come to light. Mr Yadav said that Delhi's Power Minister Atishi should withdraw the hike in PPAC rates while avoiding allegations and counter-allegations. He said that during the Congress government, two months' electricity bill used to come according to the pocket of the public, but now even the bill of 28-30 days has become heavy.
