Unfortunately, the narrative is the same as before; the story is repetitive, predictable, and drawn out. The witty and socially relevant story that was the first movie has now been drawn out for no reason, and features outdated humor coupled with subplots that aren't necessary to the overall story. 

Positives: The performances of the film are the only salvation. Ammy Virk and Tania clearly shared some chemistry which added some warmth to the inconsistent script. Nirmal Rishi and Gurpreet Bhangu showed some real comic timing in places that provided some genuine laughs.

Negatives: The most egregious part of Godday Godday Chaa 2 is the weak script, with very little originality. Godday Godday Chaa 2 struggles between comedy and social messages and focuses too much on slapstick. The timing is very slow and several lags scenes become boring. What was once clever and relevant dialogue, seems now to become commonplace and uninspired. The emotional connection of the first film is almost non-existent with scripts and humour and dialogue remaining surface level and drama over-exaggerated.

Overall: Despite a talented cast and colorful visuals, Godday Godday Chaa 2 does not reach the highs of the original. It's a forgettable sequel that doesn't truly entertain nor offers a strong message.
