Godday Godday Chaa 2 Movie Review: A Weak Sequel That Fails To Match The Charm Of The Original
The sequel to Godday Godday Chaa, one of the most awaited film releases, was shown on October 21, 2025, to much fanfare because the first film was considered an outstanding achievement and it was a heartwarming film, and it was directed by Vijaye K. Arora and attempts to recreate for the audience the feeling of nostalgia from rural Punjab, and social humor that the first film delivered to the audience in the first film. All in all, Godday Godday Chaa 2 is a poor mimicking of the original film; not only is it stale, it is also shallow, or has no feeling.
Storyline
Godday Godday Chaa 2 is set in the same rustic Punjab village like the last film, and deals with the same ladies journey from the small village, and ascertain that they have been excluded from certain family rites, and family traditions from their patriarchal families. This time, however, the narrative tries to go into how the younger generation of those same ladies will adapt and reinterpret those traditions for the modern era.
