Alpha is a new addition to the YRF Spy Universe, directed by Shiv Rawail. This film stars a wide range of prominent actors such as Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. Alpha focuses on an all-female cast of spies, and although it delivers an action-packed, visually impressive approach to the traditional concept of a spy film, the story is not very original since YRF uses their traditional recipe for creating this type of film. The movie’s action scenes are stunning and the cast do an excellent job, but ultimately, the film falls short of exceeding expectations of originality.
Storyline
The story revolves around Sita (Alia Bhatt), a woman soldier who has undergone extensive training in the classified Alpha Program (a clandestine division of the Indian Army). Under the leadership of Fateh Singh Lakhawat (Bobby Deol) and Colonel Vikrant Kaul (Anil Kapoor), this program has created a new breed of soldier that will change modern combat forever. The plot revolves around a revolutionary. Additionally, Sharvari plays an influencer whose life contrasts greatly with that of Sita. These two characters come together after a series of misunderstandings, and band together in order to thwart a much larger scheme that could jeopardise the safety of their country. Along the way, they complete numerous dangerous tasks in stunning locations filled with explosive gunfire. Ultimately, they will save their country by defeating those who would harm it, but they will have to do so on a strict timeline to accomplish this.
