CM Yogi Initiates Greater Bareilly Residential Scheme, Emphasizing Industrial Clusters, Job Creation & Timely Completion

The Greater Bareilly Residential Scheme, covering around 600 acres, is part of the Chief Minister Urban Expansion/New City Promotion Scheme. It involves the distribution of Rs 1377 crore as compensation to farmers, with a total project cost of Rs 2200 crore. CM Yogi distributed compensation checks to five landowners during the inspection.

As a significant gift to Bareilly's sports community, CM Yogi inaugurated an indoor stadium constructed under the Smart City project, costing Rs 10.23 crore. The stadium caters to various sports like gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, and badminton. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, demonstrating his sportsmanship, played badminton during the inauguration and even invited Finance Minister Suresh Khanna to join him.

Under the Chief Minister Urban Expansion/New Cities Promotion Scheme, proposals include the establishment of a Medicity and Knowledge Park for world-class educational and health facilities. A Cyber City is also in the plans to attract software companies. The scheme prioritizes wide zonal roads, with 40% of land reserved for public uses like roads, parks, stadiums, and community centers. The proposal envisions underground utility lines for electricity, telephone, etc.

The Ramayana Vatika project, designed to depict incidents from Lord Shri Ram's life, will include trees from places he passed during his exile and where he rested. It encompasses various themed sections like Chitrakoot Vatika, Dandakaranya Vatika, Panchvati Vatika, and more. A 52-foot-high statue of Lord Ram and intricate carvings depicting his life events on garden walls are planned, along with a Dashavatar pillar showcasing all the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Numerous dignitaries, including Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Commissioner Soumya Aggarwal, and MP Santosh Gangwar, were present during the inspection.
