CHINTAN SHIVIR: Strategizing Empowerment Schemes For Inclusive Society By Department Of Social Justice & Empowerment
The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment envisions fostering an inclusive society by empowering marginalized sections like Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Senior Citizens, Substance Abuse Victims, Transgender Persons, and more. They've initiated schemes to realize this vision, periodically refining them for greater efficiency. Recently, a "CHINTAN SHIVIR" was held on August 21, 2023, in New Delhi, chaired by Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar, with Union Minister of State Shri A. Narayanswami and other senior officials present. The event involved over 400 officers from the Department, including its autonomous bodies and corporations, who shared their experiences and discussed strategies.

During the session, the Union Minister emphasized the need for a strategic approach to enhance capacity building and contribute to societal development, underlining the importance of such brainstorming gatherings. The Secretary conveyed a message of ownership and highlighted the importance of capacity building among the employees.
