At the 2024 Annual Brand Conference, Volkswagen India made a significant announcement, unveiling the eagerly anticipated ID.4 ahead of its official launch. This move marks Volkswagen's foray into the electric vehicle (EV) segment in India, aligning with the global trend towards sustainable mobility solutions. Alongside this groundbreaking debut, Volkswagen introduced a lineup of other notable vehicles, including the Taigun GT Plus Sport, Taigun GT Line, and Virtus GT Plus Sport.
Positioned as a formidable contender in the EV market, the Volkswagen ID.4 shares a similar size profile with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, offering a compelling option for consumers seeking eco-friendly alternatives. One of its standout features is the flexibility it offers in terms of powertrain configurations, catering to diverse driving preferences and performance requirements.
Under the hood, the ID.4 is built on Volkswagen's Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) platform, boasting a range of powertrain options to suit varying needs. The lineup includes both single and dual-motor setups, each delivering a distinct driving experience.
