Disney Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons: Dreaming Big Around the World
Disney Fairy Tale Weddings

Since its opening in 1991, Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons has assisted couples in celebrating their love in the most enchanting manner. A part of the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products business unit of The Walt Disney Company, the program provides customized wedding and honeymoon experiences at Disney resorts worldwide — from Tokyo to Los Angeles, Florida to Paris, Hong Kong to Shanghai, and even aboard the Disney Cruise Line.

Based in the fairy tale-named Franck's Studio in Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, the show is called after Father of the Bride's Franck Eggelhoffer, who is played by Martin Short. In this fantasy studio, couples' wedding planners — lovingly referred to as "fairy godmothers" — assist couples in turning their fairy tale fantasies into a reality.

What started out as a niche event has grown into an international phenomenon. Between September 1991 and April 2017, more than 30,000 weddings were held at Disney. There were 1,300 just ceremonies in 2013, and 4,000 by 2016 — roughly 11 weddings per day, on average. From classic castle sites and rose gardens to Disney-themed decor and the inclusion of Disney characters, every wedding is tailored to the couple's individual story.

But the sorcery doesn't end on the wedding day. The package also turns honeymoons into ones filled with recollection and romance, Disney-fashion, with activities ranging from candlelit dinner evenings to luxury cruises and theme park fun.

Whether it's a small, intimate affair or big bash, Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons ensures that every second is pure magic. For couples, their wedding ceremony at Disney is not only a wedding, but the beginning of a lifelong fairy tale.

With decades of history, an engaged staff committed to fulfilling dreams, and the one-of-a-kind magic of Disney parks, it is no surprise that thousands of individuals are continuing to say "I do" with Disney every year.
