United Sikhs's 3-Phase Rehab Program For Punjab's Flood-Affected Regions Gains Support From Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi
The second phase of the relief efforts will focus on rebuilding and rehabilitating the affected communities.
Chandigarh: United Sikhs, a well-known global non-profit organization, has launched an extensive three-phase relief program to aid flood-affected regions in rural Punjab. The devastating floods have left large parts of the area inundated, prompting the organization's dedicated volunteers to swiftly respond and provide much-needed assistance.
In the initial phase, United Sikhs' on-the-ground volunteers reached over 500 villages in regions like Rupnagar, Anandpur Sahib, Kiratpur Sahib, and others. They are providing vital medical aid and emergency relief items to affected families, including those in inaccessible areas like Dera Baba Nanak. The volunteers are tirelessly working to ensure that affected individuals receive immediate aid, such as food, water, clothing, tents, fodder, and essential items. Moreover, ambulance services, medical care, and essential medicines are being offered to address the health needs of those impacted by the floods.
